As a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and leading technical projects in the logistics domain. Your expertise in EDI, API integration, event-driven architecture, and data science will be instrumental in shaping the future of our technology stack.

The position will report to the Director of Engineering and is located in our Conshohocken, PA office. Remote 2 days / week.

DrayNow is rapidly disrupting the logistics Industry by solving the first and last mile problem, starting with the intermodal freight segment. We are the first to create a real-time marketplace for the expanding intermodal freight segment of the shipping market that facilitates frictionless real-time interactions connecting Truckers and Customers to seamlessly haul intermodal loads throughout the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership:
   1. Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards.
   2. Collaborate closely with product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
2. Logistics Expertise:
   1. Leverage your deep understanding of logistics processes and systems to design and implement software solutions that optimize supply chain operations.
3. EDI Integration:
   1. Lead efforts in designing, implementing, and managing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems, ensuring seamless communication between our platform and external partners.
4. API Integration:
   1. Architect and develop robust APIs for seamless integration with third-party systems, ensuring efficient data exchange and interoperability.
5. Event-Driven Architecture:
   1. Design and implement event-driven systems to enable real-time processing and decision-making, enhancing the agility and responsiveness of our logistics operations.
6. Data Science Integration:
   1. Collaborate with data scientists to integrate machine learning models and data-driven insights into our logistics processes, driving optimization and efficiency.
7. System Scalability and Performance:
   1. Architect and optimize systems for scalability, performance, and high availability to support our rapidly growing user base.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of professional experience building software applications.
• Experience with JavaScript and JavaScript Frameworks (React, Node, Express, React Native, etc).
• Experience with AWS or comparable Cloud technology
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases, experience with JSONB a plus  We use Fargate, Aurora Postgres, and Lambda for production.
• Strong proficiency in logistics systems and processes.
• Experience in EDI integration and API design/development.
• Expertise in event-driven architecture and real-time processing.
• Familiarity with data science concepts and machine learning integration.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
